How big are Secret RSVP events?
Typically 40–60+ guests in a fully hosted format—big enough for variety, small enough for real conversation. We pace sales to help keep the room balanced.

What if I don’t choose anyone—or if no one chooses me? Will I still be assigned to a table?
Yes—if you’re checked in and on time, you’ll be seated. Arriving after rounds begin may delay and impact future seating.

Are Secret RSVP events just for extroverts?
No. The format is built for introverts and ambiverts too: small, rotating groups, clear prompts, and hosted flow—so you never have to cold-approach or carry a conversation alone. You control your pace.

I’m not sure I’m ready to put myself out there (I’m open to friends, not just dating).
That’s totally fine. Many guests make new friends. You can use the post-event chat to follow up at your pace—whether that’s a coffee date or new friends for hikes and hangouts.

Will I meet everyone? Is the room 50/50?
No. With small, rotating groups, you won’t meet every guest—and perfect gender balance isn’t guaranteed. We pace sales to keep things even, but chemistry beats quotas. You’ll also have other chances to meet more people during arrivals, between-round mingles, occasional whole-room moments, and after the rounds (many nights roll into casual hangouts). Your 3-day private chat helps you follow up with people you connected with.

Do I have to approach people?
No. You choose privately; we seat you in small, rotating groups—no cold approaches. Hosts run the games so it stays easy.

When can I see who else is attending?
Profiles unlock after check-in at the event. It keeps everything private until everyone’s really there.

Do I need a profile?
Yes. A simple profile is required for check-in, your private picks, discreet invites, and the 3-day private chat.

Can I leave early?
Leaving mid-event disrupts matching for everyone. If an emergency comes up, tell a host before you go so we can check you out and remove you from rotations. If you leave without checking out, your ticket may be forfeited, post-event features (including the 3-day private chat) may be disabled, and we may restrict or deny future bookings to protect the experience for other guests.

What if I need to step out briefly?
Grab a host and we’ll pause your seatings for the next rotation and guide you back in when you’re ready. Please don’t leave mid-round without checking in with us—it throws off the seating for others.

How does messaging work after the event?
About 60 minutes after wrap-up, your 3-day private chat opens so you can follow up at your pace.

Will there be photos or video? Can I opt out?
We sometimes capture photos or short clips for recap/marketing. By attending, you consent unless you tell us otherwise. To opt out, tell the host at check-in or email us and we’ll flag your profile.

Is the venue accessible?
It depends on the venue. We list the venue and address on the event card—please review the venue’s own accessibility details or contact them directly, and message us if you need help confirming specifics.

What ID do I need?
Bring a government-issued photo ID that shows your date of birth (driver’s license, passport, provincial/state ID). The name/age on your profile must match your ID. We can’t accept photos or photocopies.

What if I forget my ID?
We may refuse entry per our Terms. Tickets are non-refundable.

What should I wear?
Smart-casual—what you’d wear to a great lounge. Comfortable and confident is perfect.

What should I bring?
Just two things:

An open mind (curiosity + a favorite drink from the bar = great night)
A fully charged phone (for check-in, private picks, and invites)

Code of conduct?
Be kind. No harassment. We may remove any guest who disrupts the experience or makes others uncomfortable.

Can I just show up at the door?
No—advance booking is required so we can balance the room. Events often sell out—book early.

How do I know my booking went through?
You’ll get an email confirmation right after purchase. Don’t see it? Check spam/junk. Still nothing? Contact us—please don’t buy a second ticket.

What kind of ticket am I buying?
All tickets are Standard entry (general admission). If the event fills, we open a waitlist.

Are tickets refundable?
All sales are final. If Secret RSVP cancels or reschedules, or an event is impacted by last-minute emergencies or weather, we issue an event credit for the ticket price. Credits are valid for 6 months and for non-private events.

How do credits work?
Credits are one-time use and can be applied to one future event, subject to availability. To apply a credit, contact us 14+ days before the date you want. If you miss that rebooked event, the credit isn’t reissued.

Are taxes included?
Taxes are added at checkout based on the event location (provincial/federal taxes in Canada; state/local taxes in the U.S.).

We like to host our evening events in the most trendy parts of Vancouver such as Granville Street, Yaletown, or Gastown. We’re always on the lookout for new venues and locations, so if you have some suggestions we are all ears.

Oh and one more thing … we do sometimes like to keep our venue locations secret just because we are after all all about keeping things that way.

With more singles making Vancouver home in recent years, the time is right to start meeting new singles in real life and enter the Vancouver dating scene! This is to prevent people from *crashing* our parties (yes – it has happened before because tickets are limited, and it allows us to maintain an even gender ratio to optimize live matching).

We’ve taken the best of the most popular ways singles meet, removed the worst parts, and added our secret sauce! While some people may enjoy speed dating as a method for meeting new people, we know it’s not for everyone and definitely not for us!
